Maraschino Cherries are preserved, sweetened cherry, typically made from light-colored sweet cherries such as the Royal Ann, Rainier, or Gold varieties.
These cherries are ?rst preserved in a brine solution and then soak in a suspension of food colouring, sugar syrup and other components.
